Maybe you are always trying to avoid being disliked.
This is usually a fool’s errand.
But the other side of this is being envied, which is not great either.
For example, I’d rather have $20 million (and nobody know who I am), than have $2 billion (and everyone know my face and name).
It’s good to be on people’s radar, but not too much…
This is a similar tradeoff to the obligation that comes with being either a worker or a boss.
In the end, I am not sure we always have control over this though.
You want to avoid being disliked without being envied or admired.
