Hey. It’s Friday!
This week I read:
The Lotus And The Cross
By Ravi Zacharias
Multnomah (November 2, 2010)
96 pages
Read this book and explore with famed theologian Ravi Zacharias the similarities and differences between Christianity and Buddhism. These ideas are explored through a fictitious conversation between Jesus, Buddha, and a destitute woman. In this, Zacharias attempts, as fairly as possible, to base hypothetical questions and answers from the teachings of both Buddhism and Christianity.
Two of my favorite quotes:
“To be handcuffed by a lie is the worst of all imprisonments.”
“The morally confident person demeans the distance and loses the path. The impoverished in spirit, humbled by the distance, keeps to the path and reaches the goal.”
