What is the producer price index?
The Producer Price Index (PPI) is a price index that measures the selling price changes of many products and services.
The PPI is obviously done from the prospective of producers.
The Consumer Price Index is done from the prospective of consumers.
It is a monthly figure that is released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
