I Ended Up In The Marketing Material Of The Cato Institute

So I got into the marketing material of the Cato Institute.

Here is how.

While I was in grad school in 2009, I attended one of the institute’s conferences: Cato University.

I made the getaway into a road trip and drove all the way from Texas to San Diego where the conference was held that year.

It was a blast.

So I told you that to tell you this.

I am, of course, still on their email list.

And recently I got a promotional email telling me that, this year, Cato University is headed back in San Diego.

I did a double-take at the email.

Black blazer, blue jeans, sunglasses.

That’s me!

Ha.

The lesson?

Someone is always watching.
