I think that the picture of when families help each other is a good example of grace.
Most of us have no idea what we are doing, after all.
We are raised by imperfect parents, in a house with imperfect siblings, in a world of imperfection.
Is it a wonder most of us end up the way we do?
Knowing more and more of the backgrounds of people around me, I am surprised many of us turn out as well as we do.
Thank goodness family sometimes steps in to help.
And I guess when you take away the resentment and disappointment, it’s that simple. It is what we do in families: we help, because we were helped.
