There is a wealth line out there. An invisible line that nobody can see.
Above the line are the wealthy. Not the rich now, the wealthy.
These are the people that live below their means. They have little to no debt and might have $30,000 in a checking account for any bad situation that comes their way.
Below the line is everyone else that lives paycheck to paycheck. Their income is X, and their expenses are X + 5%.
But hear me now. All of this has nothing to do with income.
People below the line can make $700,000 per year. And people above the line can make $50,000 per year.
The difference is that the $700,000 family is spending $710,000. And the $50,000 family is spending $40,000.
Let’s be wealthy and smart, shall we?
And stay above that line.
Below the line
were people, rich or not, who did not have the security of true wealth. They may have had a lot of money in the bank, but their lifestyles were so extravagant that their finances were fragile, at best.
