Chemotherapy Treatment Advice

Here is a piece of chemotherapy treatment advice.

I think that the rule that applies here is probably like most other things in life.

If you bring your friends and act silly, you are likely to have a lot more fun.

Goodness things can be awful sometimes.

But friends help.

I gave Carol a ride to one of her chemotherapy treatments. We sat in heated chairs next to each other and laughed a lot. I brought little colored umbrellas to put in the chemo bags and asked the nurse to hook me up with a bag of my own. Carol and I pretended we were in Hawaii, sitting by a pool. When you’re together with someone you love, you get to decide where you are, even if it’s different from where you actually are.
