When faced with an obstacle, you really do get to take your pick about handling it.
There are only two options.
- Give up
- Keep maneuvering, experimenting, and trying to overcome it
We all have many obstacles we face, personally, professionally, and relationally.
My blogging obstacle right now is to build a website with 50,000 – 100,000 unique visitors per month.
Every single day I get to choose.
Keep going? Try something new? Put up a few more posts? Or, quit?
Quite plainly – if you must know – I am trying to play a game of drip, drip, drip, I win.
Understand: Most people let obstacles beat them because they quit.
“Really,” Jones responded. ‘Seriously stuck’ provides a clearly defined opportunity. When one is seriously stuck, there is an obvious choice that must be made. You can do one of two things. You can quit, or you can break through to a new level of awareness and achievement. There ya go. Take your pick.” He smiled contentedly and closed his eyes.
