You should read Taki Theodoracopulos too.
Who is he?
He is a journalist, writer, and publisher – the son of a greek shipping magnate.
I have followed him off and on since college.
Years ago I read his books Nothing To Declare and Princes, Playboys, and High-class Tarts – but have not yet had time to dissect them here.
Search the archives in the future to see if I ever got around to it, I suppose.
How interesting and odd that a fiction writer you follow is a fan of a non-fiction writer you follow.
Honestly, I not only read Taki, I wrote for him too.
My byline at Taki Magazine is here.
At the farewell dinner he and Norris gave for me I was able to meet one of my idols, the gossip columnist Taki Theodoracopulos. I told him that I subscribed to The Spectator, his principal outlet, in three cities (D.C., Archer City, Tucson) just in order to read him. I’ve dropped two of the cities but I still subscribe to The Spectator and I still do so mainly to read Taki.
