I love that stories help people.
Or at least they can.
They can show you timeless principles you have not noticed before. Stories can reveal how others handled the same situation. They remind us that we do not walk alone. And they can encourage us to keep going.
This can, of course, be done with both fiction and non-fiction writing.
I hope that what I write is informative, encouraging, relevant – and sometimes funny.
Good-grief, lets’s just edify people.
Can we?
Should a writer care whether his stories help make readers better or worse, strong or weak, sick or healthy? I think we should.
