Here are 5 things I learned reading, Ego is The Enemy, By: Ryan Holiday (Amazon):
1. Where ego begins, learning ends.
2. Not Rare: Raw talent, Skill, and Confidence. Rare: Humility, Diligence, and Self-awareness.
3. Purpose beats passion, every-time.
4. Woolly mammoths were here the same time the pyramids were being built.
5. With success and ego, comes entitlement and paranoia.
Here are 5 things I learned reading, In Patagonia, By: Bruce Chatwin (Amazon).
1. Patagonia is the furthest place from the origin of man that anyone could have possibly walked to.
2. When I write, I need to focus more on brevity and boiling it all down, like Bruce Chatwin does.
3. “Peon” actually means: Unskilled Spanish-American day worker.
4. The weather in Patagonia is more like a desert that anything else.
5. That famous little piece of skin in Chapter 1, was not from a dinosaur.
