An erudite in this context is something to aspire to.
For ego and pride are some of the ugliest of sins.
But it’s not necessarily the case that a journalist is always an ignorant fool…
It’s that the kind of person that wants to be a journalist will never have the luxury of erudition.
To erudition. To flâneuring. To long lunches.
To humility, and living a good life.
