Are all conspiracies bad?
The simple answer is no – it’s about context.
Then why does the word “conspiracy” have a bad connotation to it?
I mean, a conspiracy is essentially strategic planning between two or more people done behind closed doors in order to achieve a goal, right?
By that reasoning, most businesses are in a conspiracy.
And all political campaigns are a conspiracy.
Heck, I didn’t realize it.
This blog might be a conspiracy.
There is an unpleasantness in talking about conspiracies, I’ll grant that. Yet conspiracy is a neutral word. It depends on what one does with it. Our tendency to shy away from this truth creates a profound ignorance of how things really work, and what it means to be strategic, to be powerful, and to try to shape events rather than simply be shaped by them.
