The look of most people when they find out there are reading requirements for a required class that they never wanted to take in the first place:
Mom Buying School Supplies
Mom buying school supplies is…not like it used to be.
In my day, I had to search and fight and scrape to get the proper things for the first day of school.
And heaven forbid if you waited too late in the summer to get it done. Half the shelves would be wiped out and you would be looking at three or four stops more to find it all.
It’s like ancient trips to Blockbuster video in the rain. Now we just push a button on the Apple remote to watch anything we want. For this is what we all prefer.
And likewise, the school now just gives us a link to our school supplies.
You sign in, pick your grade level, pay, and you are done.
A few weeks later every single thing is shrink-wrapped at your door.
Understand, I am not complaining. This is what we all want too.
Leave the market alone, and over time, things will either get easier or cheaper or both.
Done.
