Dr. Thomas Sowell has retired from his column.

I have been reading Sowell’s books and articles since I was a freshman in college.

While I was in grad school, I even spoke to him briefly on the phone.

I had sent him a copy of his autobiography with an autograph request, and he called to apologize for the delay in person.

I remember him being very gracious about it all.

His weekly voice will be missed.
