If God exists, why should we assume complete understanding of it all?

So if God exists and allows suffering, why should you assume you should be able to completely comprehend it?

This is a fair question.

And one that I typically take as a given.

But why?

I mean, there are a million things I take as “true” without having to 100 percent validate.

Why on this one topic do some of us demand to understand everything, before anything makes sense?

It’s odd.

Here’s the main point; one of the assumptions smuggled into the thought that suffering disproves the existence of God is this: If God does have good reasons for allowing the suffering that He allows, we should know what those reasons are. But why think that? God might have many reasons for allowing suffering. And we shouldn’t be at all taken aback if we aren’t able to grasp them in full.
