Pete The Cat: I Love My White Shoes
Author: Eric Litwin
Illustrator: James Dean
HarperCollins (October 11, 2011)
40 pages

I just about rap Pete The Cat: I Love My White Shoes when I read it aloud. It’s great. See there is this cat, Pete. He walks around and gets stuff all over his shoes. But you know what? He’s so cool and laid-back, it doesn’t even phase him. He even drinks a cup of coffee at one point, I think. And who doesn’t like a cat that drinks coffee? You get to learn about some fruits and an attitude of rolling with what life throws at you. You also get to learn a few colors.

Because: Children’s books forever.
