Loving Your Work Can Hurt You?

Loving Your Work Can Hurt You?

Don’t you want to love your work?

Don’t we all?

But like anything, loving your work can have its disadvantages.

People who are not in love with their jobs come home at the end of the day and turn off.

But what about those of us that are passionate and what we are doing?

  • What if work is more fun than talking to your spouse?
  • What if calling a client is easier than calling your parents?
  • What if dinner with a big customer is more stimulating than dinner at home?
  • And what if you begin to neglect the things that have real meaning?
 Loving your work is special.

But remember that work, is just work.

Relationships are all that last.

“Loving one’s work is a gift. And loving one’s work makes it really easy to neglect other parts of life.”

–Shauna Niequist, Present Over Perfect
