An Important Loss

An Important Loss

Maybe overcoming an important loss is not possible.

The death of a parent. A sibling. Maybe the death of a close grandparent too.

Definitely, the loss of a child.

I don’t know.

It all seems unnatural and unfair – and maybe it is.

“I don’t think you can ever really get over the death of the few people who matter most to you. It’s too big. Oh, you do, the badly broken leg does heal, and you walk again, but always with a limp.”
–Anne Lamott, Operating Instructions
