The Stumbling Blocks Of Politicians Are Ours Too

I think that one of the biggest issues and stumbling blocks for people is their inability to be selfless.

We all want power and attention. Or, that way it makes us feel.

To be the center of it all.

To be acknowledged and be accepted, and for peoples heads to turn when we walk into the room.

Maybe we just want to leave our mark.

I just want to leave a legacy.

And I want to do it for the right reasons.

You know why I want to keep my seat? I like the power and recognition. The opportunity to be at the center of things. To make my mark on history and mold the society in which I live.

-Congressman X, The Confessions Of Congressman X
