Finally found the time to watch Part 2 of Notre Dame’s, The God Debate.

I thought it was a good academic discussion until the 58:30 mark.
Sam Harris spends his entire second allotted time talking off-topic.
He slanders theists, brings up the problem of pain/evil (not the topic of discussion), and a few other irrelevant theological points that didn’t answer any of the ideas brought up by Craig’s last rebuttal.
I thought it was telling listening to the nature of their arguments by way of their language.
Lane was technical and precise where Harris talked in platitudes, red herrings, and occasional college level insults.
You tell me which one has the doctorate in philosophy…
My sense is that it is easy to get off-topic and move from arguments to insults when you don’t have a good argument.
