Ok, so, I did a thing this weekend and created a Lubbock Jobs board: lubbockjobs.io.

This is the culmination of a few things coming together at once.

First, is my commitment to online experimentation.

If you have an idea, go and try it!

Make a Minimum Viable Product and see if anyone cares about it.

If it’s a flop, you can shut it down in 90 days and nobody will notice.

Nobody but your mom is paying much attention anyway. (Hi mom!)

Second, I have a long and uncomfortable history with unemployment.

Let’s just say there is a spot between “no experience” and “too much education” that I was stuck in for way too long.

Because of this, the job search resonates with me.

Third, I was inspired by Peter Askew. If you don’t know, he has built ranchwork.com and vidaliaonions.com, among others.

This guy knows job boards…

Fourth, Lubbock is now my home.

And, based on career trajectories, probably will be for the rest of my professional life.

So there you have it.

Check out lubbockjobs.io here – and let me know what you think!

I plan on adding one new job every night.

Thanks!

(And yes – the top picture is of Joyland – I thought about it because I was there on Thursday.)
