Hey. It’s Friday!
This week I read:
#Girlboss
By: Sophia Amoruso
Portfolio; 1st edition (May 6, 2014)
256 pages
This book is a simple tale of grit, passion, and work. Sophia Amoruso ate out of dumpsters and rejected most of conventional society for a long time. Then she sold vintage clothing she found thru a MySpace store. And Nasty Gal was born. It was just for some extra cash. Food. Rent. Etc. She lived it. She breathed it. And she is now worth nearly $300 million by some accounts. Read this book and be inspired.
Two of my favorite quotes:
“What I know now is that nothing is universally boring—what’s boring to you could be totally engaging to someone else. If you’re bored and hating it, it’s a big sign that you’re most likely just in the wrong place.”
“Confidence is more attractive than anything you could put on your body.”
