If you have anxiety for no reason, there may be something chemically going on.
Do not ignore this. Get the proper help if you need it.
But if you have seen both a psychologist and a psychiatrist and a know that something medically is not an issue…
Your problem might be perspective.
You are focused on the unimportant – thinking it is important.
And this focus blinds you to that which truly matters.
Remember that whatever you focus upon will increase in significance.
Whatever you are returning to in your mind, is likely smaller than you think.
Focusing on the the ethic can elevate your thinking here.
It might help to say it over and over again whenever you feel the anxiety begin to come on: I am not going to die from this. I am not going to die from this. I am not going to die from this. Or try Marcus’s question: Does what
happened keep you from acting with justice, generosity, self-control, sanity, prudence, honesty, humility, straightforwardness?
