I think that there is little earthly hope in this world.
Especially in death.
For without the hope of everything – there is nothing left.
Nothing lasting anyway…
I am reminded here about the theological problem of pain.
Would we not be robots, if not for the possibility of affliction and suffering?
Everyone who ever did anything great felt this truth.
Hard times –> Grit –> Character –> Hope
And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
