The best part of a football game might just be the kickoff.
This is because, like so many other areas of life, the pleasure is in the anticipation.

Businessmen look back fondly on the climb of their career, rather than the final sale.
Starting from nothing and making something is more rewarding, after all.
And Super Bowl winners will eventually relish the camaraderie and fight of a winning season, more than the ring from one.
The point is that while the ball is still first in the air, the future is open.
In many ways, the kickoff is the best moment of any football game: the instant after the kicker has made contact and the ball hangs as if frozen and the players race toward collision and the fans hold their breath and it seems as if anything is possible.
