Love is weird because sometimes it just doesn’t make a lot of sense.
By that, I mean that displays of love can be contradictory.
Don’t get me wrong, I believe – in large part – love is mostly showing up.
An older brother is awful to his younger sister but is also willing to defend her to the death in an instant.
And a husband is short with his wife, but he still finds time to fill her car up with gas every Saturday.
You get the idea.
This passage about love made me laugh because it’s so true.
We are can be annoyed with the day-to-day, but would not hesitate in the face of a colossal hurdle.
Love is a funny thing. I’d donate a kidney to Jamie without a moment’s hesitation, but I was intensely annoyed if he asked me to make a special stop at the drugstore to pick up shaving cream.
