You Control Your Life?

You Control Your Life?

Do you control your life?

I think it’s yes and no.

I defiantly believe that free-will exists and all – but there is so much that is outside of our control too.

Luck, circumstance, inheritance, relationships, and providence all play a huge part in where we end up.

Heaven forbid anyone try to force us to do anything though.

  • A toddler will scream.
  • An young adult will dropout of college.
  • And a forty year old will have an affair.

What a rebellious lot we are.

Most of us will do almost anything, even foolish things, to avoid being told what it is we want. When someone tries to control us, it teaches us new ways to be dumb because it reminds us of old ways we’ve been manipulated before.

Willingly Manipulated

Willingly Manipulated

Are you being willingly manipulated?

Not on the part of others.

Of course, others are trying to manipulate you.

I mean, are you allowing them by your laziness?

This reminded me of this chilling story from Andy Daniels.

Because politicians love giving away things for votes.

They will give away anything.

And all they want is your freedom.

Little by little, at first.

And then eventually all of it.

It’s far easier than you think to manipulate a nation of naïve, self-absorbed sheep who crave instant gratification.
