To many, humans don’t matter.
I like to think that we do.
I mean humans, plants, and animals are all part of creation or the universe – we all exist – if that is the right word.
But, I prefer to believe that being human is unique.
Not unique in the sense that we have opposable thumbs, stand on two feet, and have taken technology further than any other mammal, but that humans reason, and ask, and wonder, and dream, and cry out for purpose beyond this fleeting life.
I hope humans matter.
I believe that we do.
“What led me to spirituality wasn’t only my desire to be fathered—although I like the fact that I am fathered by God. But what really lead me to spiritually was a desire to believe I was human and that being human mattered.”
