Democracy lost because we let it.
We take from people what belongs to them and give it to people to whom it does not belong.
And we do not protect the lives of the young and old.
We stand-by in the face of evil. And even then – when we have our 51% – quit calling it “evil.”
Virtue is mocked.
And is it not pretty to notice how Democracy (in the incantatory sense) is now doing for us the work that was once done by the most ancient Dictatorships, and by the same methods?
