This Is How To Avoid Foolish Writing

Foolish writing is avoided by reading. And then, practicing writing.

Writer Tim Ferriss has this saying where he says: “You are the average of the five people you most associate with.”

In this same way, I believe that most people write like they read.

And if you aren’t reading much, that tells me about all I need to know. 

For writers, in particular, I would say: “You write like the average of the five authors you most read.”

So keep reading, keep writing, you’ll get there.

Such a great reminder.

The more you read, the less apt you are to make a fool of yourself with your pen or word processor.
