So I came across this blurb about Niki Papadopoulos in the Acknowledgments section of this book and it gave me pause.
I sat on it for a few hours, over dinner I think it was, and
And then it hit me. Ryan Holiday had mentioned her before too.
So I went and looked and discovered that Papadopoulos has edited four different people I have read: Ryan Holiday, Seth Godin, Nick Bilton, and now Rand Fishkin.
It appears she also edited Annie’ Duke’s Thinking In Bets that is on my to-read-soon list.
(I read it.)
Good reminder that it’s a small world at the top of everything.
Hope I can work with an editor as good as her one day.
Anyway, I’m now a fan.
This book’s purpose, as my amazing editor, Niki Papadopoulos, often reminded me, is not to tell the stories I want to tell or to
exorcise my professional demons. It is to serve you—the reader. YOU have a project, a company, a career, an investment striving for success. This book’s job is to give you the knowledge I wish I’d had, to mark on the startup map those strategic pitfalls and tactical traps I’ve now learned to avoid.
