Kids Christmas Eve Worry

Kids Christmas Eve worry can extend into all kinds of things.

I remember this well as a child.

  • Will it be too cold for Santa?
  • Will he have enough time?
  • Did I mistakenly commit an unpardonable action this year?
  • What if a reindeer is hurt?

Of course, most of it centers around presents getting safely into your hands!

I just love the sweet innocence of it all.

By 10: 30 I was still awake. I was mentally tracing Santa’s route to our house at 1505 Randal Road. It did concern me somewhat that he might not find me because of a mistake on the road signs. Randal at one end of our road was spelled with one L, and at the other end, the sign proclaimed Randall with two Ls. Would he be able to locate me? Maybe he would get confused, come in from Randal Road once, and later enter the neighborhood by way of Randall Road, and I’d get presents twice. Not likely, I knew, but these are the kinds of things a kid thinks about on Christmas Eve.
