Few Days And Full Of Trouble

Few Days And Full Of Trouble

I can think of few other phrases that sum up the life of us little humans in a better way.

We are few in days – and those days are full of trouble.

I was reading this piece yesterday morning and the passage leapt off the page at me…

  • Maybe because I might be struggling with what is linked below there. (Maybe? 😉)
  • Maybe because parenting feels like a struggle right now.
  • Maybe because work feels like too much the last few weeks.

Not trying to complain…

I think I am simply going through a phase where everything feels hard.

Maybe we all are.

Gosh life is so short and beautiful, isn’t it?

Understand: Our days are determined – the good ones – and especially the hard ones.

“Man who is born of woman
Is of few days and full of trouble.
2 He comes forth like a flower and fades away;
He flees like a shadow and does not continue.
3 And do You open Your eyes on such a one,
And bring me to judgment with Yourself?
4 Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean?
No one!
5 Since his days are determined,
The number of his months is with You;
You have appointed his limits, so that he cannot pass.
6 Look away from him that he may rest,
Till like a hired man he finishes his day.

-Job 14: 1-6
