This song, Rich Men North Of Richmond, is a straight banger. 🔥
Amazing story behind it too.
I think the frustration and rawness that it seethes is what resonates with people so much.

The Fermi Paradox says that there is a contradiction in the possibility of alien life.
First, there is a large lack of evidence that alien life exists.
But that, second, there is a high probability that alien life exists.
Is that true though?
Isn’t it also possible that one of these basic assumptions is wrong?
Either one could be wrong, I suppose.
But my bet is on the second one.
The standard thinking is that there are billions of stars similar to our sun.
Therefore, there are some planets that are similar to Earth.
And if there are many planets similar to Earth – then life likely has developed in other places as it developed here.
All that takes evolution for granted though…
I am not so much concerned here with the physics or biological functions of change.
I am speaking of two things: The beginning and the effect.
The fact that something cannot come from nothing – and the philosophical implications that it did.
I find these two hurdles not easily brushed away.
Aliens would be cool though. 🤷♂️
The scariest answer to the Fermi Paradox is that there are no aliens at all.
