The Opposite Of Loneliness is a collection of college essays of the late Marina Keegan. Her writing is excellent. And this book brims with the possibilities of what might have been had she stayed with us a little longer. I can almost see someone scrolling through her last piece in The New Yorker over an early morning cup of coffee.
Two of my favorite quotes:
We’re so young. We’re so young. We’re twenty-two years old. We have so much time.
Do you want to leave soon? No, I want enough time to be in love with everything… And I cry because everything is so beautiful and short.
