As the internet tears down every single meddling gatekeeper, the rules of what you should/shouldn’t do are less certain – this includes long form video.

I mean, how long ago was it inconceivable to have your own video channel somewhere?

Even after, what was considered long-form for a vlog? 30 minutes? 45 minutes?

Much more over an hour and you get into the length of a full length movie.

All this is behind us.

The 3 big parts are:

  1. Create a long-for piece of content. Distribute this in its entirety.
  2. Cut up this long-form piece of content into short pieces of various types (Memes, quotes, short video clips, blog posts, etc.).
  3. Distribute all cut up content on relevant platforms.

I do not do this exactly, but in this same way, one book that I read can become over 35-40 individual blog posts that I share on social.

My deficiency in this is that I do not make a particular piece of content for a particular social platform.

I put everything on my blog and simply share the posts in any way that I can.
