I have learned that a job saying it is a “fast-paced environment” is a giant red-flag. š©
One of the comments here said it well.
I have learned that “thrive in a fast-paced environment” is code for “multiple direct reports and no control over workload,” and inheriting work that was formerly handled by three people.
All you people that kill plants know what this means too though, don’t you. š¤£
I do not have the stomach for the ability to take pain like this, on a grand level.
Physically, I have no desire to go through all of the things that Navy Seals do to become Navy Seals.
And mentally, I have no panache for crippling work stress.
(I’m more into this.š)
Maybe it would be different as the owner – rather than as an employee…
