If you are serious about your work, you might want to create a system around it.
For me it’s the same desk, the same computer, the same chair, at same time. Every. Single. Day.
When I sit down here, I know it’s time to work.
I even do my posts topics in the same order.
And heck, I even wear the same clothes everyday when I work: Jeans, cotton t-shirt, black fleece.
Like Seinfeld with a calendar, you sit down and just do the work.
My dad always tried to get me to do my homework in this manner as a child. I never wanted to listen. Because – well – who does at that age? But he is an engineer and I am typing online. So, you know.
Understand: Following systems, not goals, will increase your chances of success.
Anytime you find yourself doing the same thing over and over, you should create a system around it and start doing it the same way every time.”
