Making The Best Decision And Taking Action Does This

Making The Best Decision And Taking Action Does This

This is in favor of making the best decision possible.

And then…acting on it.

Why do people so often have no issue with the former and struggle with the latter?

I love the attitude of calling problems “necessary stops on the road.”

See, making the best decision possible – and taking action on it – will make your problems smaller.

Take action.

It will define you.

“I know that the purpose of analysis is to come to a conclusion. I have tested the angles. I have measured the probabilities. And now I have made a decision with my heart. I am not timid. I will move now and not look back. What I put off until tomorrow, I will put off until the next day as well. I do not procrastinate. All my problems become smaller when I confront them. If I touch a thistle with caution, it will prick me, but if I grasp it boldly, its spines crumble into dust.”

-Andy Andrews, The Seven Decisions

You Can Be Anything You Want To Be, Here Is How

You Can Be Anything You Want To Be, Here Is How

How can you be anything you want to be?

Get off your rear-end.

Take action.

Why? Because identity comes after action.

One does not exhibit self-confidence, and as a by-product, go out and show success. It is the other way around. You find success, and in that, self-confidence grows.

  • You show respect, therefore you are respectful.
  • You write, therefore you are a writer.
  • You lie, therefore you are a liar.
  • You create, therefore you are a creative.
 So, get up and act.

Act, and you will be.

In the Nicomachean Ethics Aristotle said, “Men acquire a particular quality by constantly acting a particular way . . . you become just by performing just actions, temperate by performing temperate actions, brave by performing brave actions.”

-Stephen Mansfield, Mansfield’s Book Of Manly Men (Amazon)
