If I am getting at this idea correctly, every skill you acquire increases your odds of finding something that sticks.
Elsewhere, I believe, Adams refers to this as a “talent stack.”
You might not be the most talented at anything in particular.
But you can still have an unusual and rare combination of talents.
And, of course, rare = scarce.
When I speak to young people on the topic of success, as I often do, I tell them there’s a formula for it. You can manipulate your odds of success by how you choose to fill out the variables in the formula. The formula, roughly speaking, is that every skill you acquire doubles your odds of success.
