I believe that trying your best in underrated.
For there are so many things that we cannot control.
You can’t control how your work is received, when you were born, the state of the global economy, who your parents are, or how or how long you get to live.
But you can control your effort, can’t you?
You can control how often you show up and what kid of work you do while you are there.
I, for one, am going to try to dwell less on the things that I can not steer, and look more at where I am able to move the needle.
It starts by trying your best.
What we can’t do is control the world around us—not as much as we’d like to, anyway. We might perceive things well, then act rightly, and fail anyway. Run it through your head like this: Nothing can ever prevent us from trying. Ever.
