This Fosters Creativity In Children

What fosters creativity in children?

Travel does.

Of course, if you can’t actually live somewhere else – at least take the time to go and see some other places.

The Grand Canyon, The Chatsworth House, Grand Rapids, Dubai, Montana, Tasmania, Chile or two counties over – just go!

Go for the summer if you can. But don’t trade good for perfect.

A week will do just fine too.

Of course, born in Europe with a childhood in Saudi Arabia, I don’t want to toot my own horn about this too much.

But: Toot. Toot.

It’s hard to know why we go the directions we go, if you want to know the truth.

Research on highly creative adults shows that they tended to move to new cities much more frequently than their peers in childhood, which gave them exposure to different cultures and values, and encouraged flexibility and adaptability.
