What if people cared just because you did the work?

I know – I know – for a writer this is balderdash. Right?

You work on your craft. You hone your sentence structure. And you fret over the perfect synonym.

But here’s the question raised here: Are your readers doing the same?

I think I could have more poetically said many of the things I listed here.

But I didn’t.

And you know what? I got a lot of compliments on it – and even more readers.

People were just impressed I made the list!

I just love this encouragement:

The only people who’ll look to see if your writing is great are other writers or wannabes. If those people are not your audience, no one should notice how artfully you said it — it just connects with them because you did the work.
