The Three Virtues Of A Programmer

The Three Virtues Of A Programmer

Three great virtues of a programmer are:

Made me laugh a little bit, honestly.

  1. Laziness: The quality that makes you go to great effort to reduce overall energy expenditure. It makes you write labor-saving programs that other people will find useful and document what you wrote so you don’t have to answer so many questions about it.
  2. Impatience: The anger you feel when the computer is being lazy. This makes you write programs that don’t just react to your needs, but actually anticipate them. Or at least pretend to.
  3. Hubris: The quality that makes you write (and maintain) programs that other people won’t want to say bad things about.

I particularly love the idea of more work now – for less work later.

But I enjoy a good morning flâner.

Devs Watching QA Test Their Code Looks Like This

Devs Watching QA Test Their Code Looks Like This

I am not a developer or a quality analyst but I have sat near this as a BA/PO.

And this is spot on.

It’s obvious that A goes to A(1), right?

Simply because A can go in B(1) is not a sufficient reason to put it there.

Simple instructions are naturally intuitive.

Or are they?

Sometimes it is not so simple!

lol
