Larry McMurtry’s most difficult novel to finish – was apparently – Lonesome Dove.
For me, my most difficult blog post is nearly always the one I am doing now.
But that’s the point, isn’t it?
Often our greatest benefits come from our greatest struggles.
Understand: Benefits accrue to people that are able to push through.
Lonesome Dove, of all my novels, was, by a large measure, the most difficult to finish.

I got this email from Jeff Goins the other day.
It had this great reminder in it:
The world is in crisis, and many people are telling you to do something new. But what if you didn’t have to do that?
What if, instead of pivoting into new and exciting opportunities, we who make things considered this a call to our true work?
What if we doubled down on our strengths, taking these familiar skills deeper than we thought they could go, seeking new ways to do old things?
I mean, do you know how many times I have wanted to start a new project?
A new venture?
Maybe go back to law school, start a new website, or a new job?
What if we kept going and we didn’t chase another new and shiny distraction tough?
What if you broke through the dip on the thing you have been working on for years?
I don’t know about you, but I say we got this.
