Maybe all we need for kids is a pickle barrel.
I don’t know for sure.
Because, well, we are not here yet.
But looking back on my own childhood, and remembering others, this seems about right.
Growing up can become difficult around the 7th and 8th grade.
And many don’t get their senses back for about 10 years.
Glad I made it through all that.
Mark Twain said that children should be nailed into a pickle barrel at age twelve, fed through a knothole, and not let out until age twenty. He must have parented a girl in her Narcissistic Years or at least known the most obvious side of girls from twelve to fifteen.
