I think to do this you look for an opportunity.
An opportunity to make a splash somewhere in the first six months, if possible.
Do something that is:
1. Visible
Because it is all a bit pointless if no one knows about it.
2. Memorable
Because you need the action to stick in people’s minds.
3. Newsworthy
And newsworthy because you want the act to spread past the water cooler – and have the entire industry talking about it too.
Don’t be afraid to address something controversial.
You want everyone looking at the direction, rather than the state.
So what does a Master Persuader do when he needs to create a good first impression to last for years? He looks around for any opportunity that is visible, memorable, newsworthy, true to his brand, and easy to change.
